Chief Inspector Onitsura (鬼貫警部) is a police detective created by Tetsuya Ayukawa (鮎川哲也). Working at the Criminal Investigation Division of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, he is mainly known for cracking false alibis. The series has 17 novels and numerous short stories published over 30 years.
