1918-1980
Yorichika Arima started writing for magazines after the War, and won the Naoki Prize in 1954 for 終身未決囚. He started writing detective novels in 1956 and published the trilogy featuring Prosecutor Takayama (高山検事). His novels include realistic depiction of society and have been called socially aware detective novels.
