I am currently waiting for the Summer to end, and the good news is that July is over! I haven’t read as much as I wanted, and I did not finish my book for the #22tlreadingchallenge. I also only read one winner of the Mystery Writers of Japan Award. Mystery Writers of Japan Award –..
June readings
I read six books this months (three in Japanese) and managed to keep pace with my reading challenges 🙂
Mid-month update
Little update on all the books I am reading at the moment. It is a way for me to refocus on the books that I want to finish this month.
May readings
These are the books I read in May!
April wrap up
I read three winners of the Mystery Writers of Japan Award in April, but my favourite books of the month have not been Japanese…
March wrap-up
I managed to read 7 books in March, but many of them have been disappointing. I hope I’ll have more luck in April!
Book review: 『四万人の目撃し』by Yorichika Arima
This detective novel won the Mystery Writers of Japan Award, but I found it underwhelming and not satisfactory.
Book review: 『顔』by Seicho Matsumoto
This is a collection of five short stories by Seicho Matsumoto. They were easy to read and entertaining, I highly recommend this book for mystery lovers.
Book review: 『狐の鶏』by Jokichi Hikage
This is a collection of 5 short stories. The first one won the Mystery Writer of Japan Award
February wrap-up
I read 7 books in February!
Book review: 『不連続殺人事件』by Ango Sakaguchi
This is the only detective novel written by Ango Sakaguchi: a complex whodunnit where the reader has all the elements in hand to find the solution.
