Series: Ikagawa City series (烏賊川市シリーズ)

The Ikagawa City series (烏賊川市シリーズ) features private detective Morio Ukai (鵜飼杜夫). His agency welcomes visitors with a sign “Welcome Troubles”, and as is usual for the genre, works with an assistant: Ryuhei Tomura 戸村流平, whom he meets in the first book of the series, while being in a competition with the police. However Morio Ukai is not your usual genius private detective, his deductions are sometimes so far-fetched that you have to wonder how he can possibly solve the crime. As the obi of the books states it, he might be more of a 迷探偵 than a 名探偵.

Book review: 『完全犯罪に猫は何匹必要か?』by Tokuya Higashigawa

This is the third book of the Ikagawa series, and it’s very good if you like mystery novels with a lighter tone and a lot of humour that still delivers an engrossing detective case .

This is the second book of the Ikagawa series. Not as good as the first one in my opinion, but still an enjoyable read.

The pen I’m using today is my Kaweco Art Sport (Blueblack limited edition). It’s the only pen for which I’m using cartridges and it’s currently inked with Kaweco Midnight Blue. I love how it looks without the clip, so I never use it. (The body is dark blue, but not as dark as it appears on the picture. It’s difficult to get a good lighting…)#FountainPen #CurrentlyInked

#ReadingUpdate #LanguageLearning🚪 I have been busy this week so I haven’t read much, but my biggest achievement is without a doubt reaching 70% on 請把門鎖好 by 既晴 (Jì Qíng).
📦 I just started the second Korean short story for this week, 비어있는 상자 by 이승훈 (Lee Seunghun), so finishing it will be my main goal this weekend.
🚃 I’m still in the middle of 寝台特急殺人事件 by Kyotaro Nishimura (西村京太郎). I haven’t had much time to read it this week, but it is one of the most engrossing novels I have read lately.

🛋️ Put a small shelf near the table I’m using most of the time (it’s just the table from the living room) to put the plants on it, and I can also store my keyboard and notebooks/pens etc to make room on the table that gets always so crowded with my stationery and books.
👩🏻‍💻 Found a way (by asking my husband) to resize featured images on my blog.
🛏️ Couldn’t sleep last night and spent hours reading the Taiwanese book I want to finish this year. Made really good progress!
